Princes launches Health & Wellbeing campaign

We have launched a new Health & Wellbeing campaign.

Part of our People Excellence Strategy, the campaign builds on some of the successful initiatives we have run over the last couple of years.

Indeed, the work the business has done to support colleagues throughout the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic contributed to the business being named Employer of the Year in the Grocer Awards in October.

We recognise that we are at different starting points across the Princes Group, but we are working to ensure we have consistency no matter where in the business you are based.

We will therefore continue to develop existing initiatives, while also creating and introducing other elements with the aim of ensuring that all colleagues are able to benefit from our Health & Wellbeing offering.

The Health & Wellbeing strategy consists of three core elements: Emotional Wellbeing, Physical Wellbeing and Financial Wellbeing.

During the course of the year, we will share a range of advice, information and support across each of the three elements, with the aim of engaging colleagues across the Group.

Our first major focus, starting next month, will be on the hugely important topic of mental health with Princes’ Chief People Officer Joe Dent talking about his own personal mental health challenges and coping mechanisms.

Referring to the launch of the Health & Wellbeing campaign, Joe says: “I am passionate about. Implementing an effective Health & Wellbeing strategy is the right thing to do for our colleagues and our organisation.

“I believe the ultimate test of what we are trying to achieve is to create a business where we are one team, we encourage openness and transparency and provide an environment of support and trust.

“The health and wellbeing of our colleagues has never been so relevant and important as it is now.

“This is a colleague-led programme and I therefore encourage colleagues to get in touch with their ideas as to how we can make the work we do and the support we offer genuinely industry-leading.”

Colleagues can share their ideas by emailing: health&wellbeing@princes.co.uk

We have also produced a booklet giving more information about the campaign and containing useful contact information to the various initiatives and platforms already available to colleagues.
