The management of allocated projects within the Business Optimisation programme

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

  • Create and manage project plans, ensuring all objectives are delivered on time to agreed scope, budget and quality expectations.

  • Ensure projects are effectively resourced, with required and relevant expertise (both internal and external).

  • Actively review progress, track and challenge risks & issues and make recommendations for key decisions so that opportunities can be realised.

  • Risk and issues management, seeking successful outcomes through collaboration, following escalation routes where necessary.

  • Build and maintain relationships with colleagues and stakeholders; ensure teams remain focused on delivery.
  • Ensure the budgeted benefits for projects are on track and delivered.

  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with the PMO framework, maintain comprehensive project documentation including PMO templates and meeting outputs, and ensure accurate and punctual reporting.

  • Lead post implementation reviews to incorporate learnings into future projects and programmes.

  • Travel will be expected in this role, mainly to Princes UK sites but overseas travel may be required.
