External Category Management
To develop Edible Oils Ltd (EOL) category credentials to be recognised as the impartial voice in the oils market.
Pro-actively manage customer range reviews for brand and own label, in order to future proof the range and maximise category potential for both the customer and Princes.
On-going analysis of market and customer data to provide meaningful insight and suitable recommendations for cross functional review.
Internal Category Management
Analyse and interpret market data and provide ad hoc professional reports where required e.g. Share, SMB, Business Planning process.
Provide product portfolio analysis by reviewing market information, trends and internal sales data to recommend the optimum brand and own label range offering, feeding in to the NPD processes.
The role is a dynamic, fast paced and demanding position which would suit a driven ambitious individual who has previous experience of owning and managing the category strategy with retailers, as well as being customer facing.
Extensive experience of using external data sources – Kantar, IRI, I2C, Dunhumby, space planning software.
Self-motivated and proactive – ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Analytical, can turn data into meaningful strategic insight.
Ability to communicate to a number of different internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Demonstrate strong influencing skills, displaying and ability to articulate clearly to a broad internal and external audience. This needs to be done whilst also retaining a clear understanding of the commercial context and implications of any recommendations.
Flexibility to work at customer offices around the UK.
