People are always astounded when they realise the sheer scale of Princes.

They are amazed when they hear about the breadth and range of our products and the number of brands and own label products we produce. We are not just about tinned fish!

I love the effort and care that goes into all our products, whether we are sourcing the best beans from America and Ethiopia for our Crosse & Blackwell soups or the juiciest tomatoes from Italy for our Napolina range.

Our brands, and the own label products we produce for the likes of Tesco, Marks & Spencer and Home Bargains, appear on supermarket shelves all over the UK. We are feeding families.

I’ve worked for Princes for over 15 years and the career development is fantastic. Like myself, a lot of people in senior roles today have worked their way up through the business.

Training is continuous and I’ve learnt loads about people management, how to be strategic and how to get the best both from myself and my team.

One of Princes’ key values is nurturing its people and I love helping to bring people through the organisation.

We started our Graduate Recruitment Scheme in 2009 and it’s extremely rewarding to see how they have all progressed. One of the first wave of cohorts is now the Controller on our Tesco account, one of our biggest customers.

The scheme is growing in popularity – we receive over 750 applications for 3 graduate jobs – and it is a great way to develop the skills and talents of young and hungry graduates while creating a homegrown talent pool for the company.
